Mental health care shouldn’t require a three-hour drive. Too many Montanans face that reality when traditional approaches stop working or when they need specialized therapies like ketamine. Mend The Mind brings evidence-based psychiatric care and ketamine therapy directly to rural communities in and around Livingston.
Expert mental health treatment belongs in Montana, not just distant metropolitan centers. Everyone deserves compassionate, scientifically grounded care close to home.
Cassidy Boyer is a Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist and Montana native with over a decade of clinical experience using ketamine safely in medical settings. As a USAF veteran with combat deployments in 2008 and 2013, Cassidy understands firsthand the realities of trauma, isolation, and treatment-resistant mental health conditions in rural communities.
After years of witnessing ketamine’s therapeutic potential in anesthesia settings, Cassidy recognized an opportunity to bring this treatment to those struggling with depression, PTSD, chronic pain, and other conditions that resist conventional approaches. Currently completing post-master’s training as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Montana State University, Cassidy combines anesthesia-level safety expertise with advanced psychiatric knowledge.
Founding Mend The Mind means ensuring rural Montanans access transformative treatment without leaving their communities.
Mend The Mind integrates medical precision with trauma-informed, whole-person care. Cassidy’s anesthesia background brings safety consciousness to psychiatric treatment that many practices cannot match. Every ketamine session is monitored with the same attention to vital signs, patient comfort, and medical protocols expected in surgical settings.
Treatment decisions rest on peer-reviewed research, established clinical protocols, and measurable outcomes. Ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression follows protocols demonstrated effective in clinical trials, with dosing tailored to each patient’s response patterns.
Trauma-informed care principles guide every interaction. Many patients seeking ketamine therapy have histories of treatment failures or medical experiences that left them feeling unheard. Creating a safe, respectful environment where patients maintain autonomy throughout treatment is foundational to therapeutic success.
The adult-focused practice allows specialized attention to mental health challenges uniquely affecting adults: treatment-resistant depression persisting for years, PTSD from military service or life-altering trauma, chronic pain conditions traditional medicine hasn’t resolved, and complex interplay of mental health and substance use concerns.
Integration of somatic and body-centered approaches recognizes that mental health and physical experience are inseparable. Cassidy’s training in somatic psychedelic facilitation means patients receive support processing both psychological and physical dimensions of their healing journey.
